Sikh Aware along with other organizations organized the Sikh Turban Day in Auckland in 2019 where people from all faiths and cultures got to know about the Sikh religion, culture and the Sikh Turban. The Minister for Ethnic Communities Hon Jenny Salesa, Hon Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi (Member Parliament) and other members of the public participated in the event.
